About Me

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in adults, teens, families  and couple's therapy, with a practice in North San Diego County. I bring many years experience to the client-therapist relationship as well as life experience. My work in a variety of settings, aside from private practice, has included Child Protective Services, adoptions, and working for the US military. For a total of four years I worked as a therapist for active duty service members and their families, first at Fleet and Family Services, US Navy, and then at Camp Pendleton for the Marine Corps Community Services.

My in-depth work  with Emotionally Focused Therapy, especially as it relates to attachment, has not only greatly influenced and informed my professional work but has also very positively impacted my close relationships. As well as being  a proud grandmother, I am the mother and stepmother of three wonderful boys. Actually, I shouldn't refer to them as boys as they are now fine young men. Having lived as an adult for years in Belgium, France, and Canada has also positively shaped who I am, both in and out of the therapeutic relationship.
